Report from Feb. 5th PAC meeting:
Acoustical Program is coming to an end. The CEO's office is asking for the return of PAC money for this program an estimated 7 million dollars will come back into the PAC budget. They are holding 1.9 million for the apartment complex,( 68 units), for the Acoustical Program. There was the question raised by the airport folks if the airport has the authority to sound proof that complex. The PAC thinks they were supposed to have been included in that project. Mark Esslinger says that the apartment building was not included in the original acoustical plan. The Board of Supervisors would have to authorize the Redevelopment Agency to use redevelopment money to insulate this housing. The PAC's feeling is that there should be no changes to the original acoustical plan and not use the money and it should be returned to the PAC budget as soon as possible. .
