Surfing Holidays have been at the avant-garde of aranging surf trips and group surfing holidays to Lanzarote since the mid eighties. The surfing holidays have been attended by some of the great names in the surfing world. We have had many Brit and EU top names also with complete newbs all on our surf trip holidays. The top surf mags like Carve, Wavelength and Bug 360 have found a wiff of "Europe's Hawaii" on our surfing holidays.

The beach break of Famara is the perfect learning ground for beginners and intermediates. We will be able to prepare good schooling with our local surf Guru "Pedro" from Famara Surf. The beach can also provide top flight waves and the outside reef has been ridden at over 30 feet. For the genuine surf gods try "La Santa" which produces some of the finest waves that can rival anything that Hawaii can offer. The holiday is available to singles, couples and groups of all abilities.

Famara is a village of fishermen and farmers. It has also got possibly the largest beach on the island backed by a 2000-foot mountain range, 3 off shore islands and a village atmosphere with roughly seven trattorias and 4 shops.



The beach is well employed by surfers who come to ride some of the finest waves on the island. The mountain is utilized by the courageous pilots on hang-gliders who soar way up above the hamlet for hours at a time only to land sometimes on the beach or in a close-by field. The town of La Caleta is a short stroll across the beach there are town apartmentspainted white on the outside but all very different on the inside. These aren't the usual holiday complex apartments but are local-owned by the families of Famara.
